Off-Broadway credits include: ‘The Coward,’ ‘The Little Foxes,’ ‘Our House,’ The Marriage of Bette and Boo,’ ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ ‘The Scene,’ ‘The Pain and the Itch,’ ‘Romance,’ ‘Writer’s Block,’ ‘Much Ado About Nothing,’ ‘Othello,’ ‘Measure for Measure,’ ‘A Skull in Connemara,’ A Streetcar Named Desire’ and ‘Scapin.’ Regionally, Welch has been seen in theater at Steppenwolf, Williamstown, Long Wharf, Seattle Rep, Guthrie, Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, and Humana Festival.[1]

Welch died from lung cancer on December 2, 2013.[2]
